Hi there!

I’m Winston, the official Chief Dog Officer—CDO for short—of Whimsi Design Studio.

Now, if you’re expecting a polished executive sitting behind a fancy desk…

Well…

You might be a little disappointed.

My office usually includes a cozy couch, several decorative pillows, and anyone who might be willing to share a snack.

I’m an English Bulldog with one bright blue eye, one warm brown eye, and a personality Mom says is entirely my own. I’m her constant companion, most loyal supervisor, and the four-legged inspiration behind much of what you’ll find here.

Of course, I prefer to think of myself as the one responsible for the company’s overall success.

My Official Job Duties

As Chief Dog Officer, I take my responsibilities very seriously.

My daily duties include:

🐾 Supervising Mom while she creates new designs.

🐾 Testing decorative pillows for maximum cuddle comfort.

🐾 Inspecting snacks to make sure they meet company standards.

🐾 Reminding Mom when she has worked long enough and needs a Winston break.

🐾 Monitoring neighborhood activity one sniff at a time.

🐾 Conducting immediate security investigations whenever another dog appears on television.

🐾 Making sure no crumb that reaches the floor is ever wasted.

It is a demanding position, but somebody has to do it.

A Few Things You Should Know About Me

I love curling up beside Mom, hugging her throw pillows while I sleep, watching television, and keeping a close eye on anything that might be edible.

I am especially fond of pizza, spaghetti, and peanut butter Cap’n Crunch—although I believe a responsible Chief Dog Officer should remain open-minded about all snacks.

I also snore rather loudly.

Mom says I can shake the walls. I prefer to think of it as providing soothing background music for the entire household.

I’m energetic, stubborn, mischievous, affectionate, and completely convinced that personal space is unnecessary when you love someone as much as I love my mom.

I’m Also a Published Children’s Book Character

In addition to my responsibilities at Whimsi Design Studio, I’m proud to be a published children’s book character.

I appear alongside my boy Avery in Avery’s First Lap and Avery’s Magical Preschool Adventure, where I help him through all kinds of exciting adventures.

Mom may tell everyone that the stories are about Avery, but I’m fairly certain readers know who the real star is.

I try not to let fame interfere with my daily responsibilities.

So far, I believe I’m handling it very well.

Mom creates the designs, but I provide a great deal of the inspiration—usually without even trying.

Every shirt, story, and article begins with the belief that life is simply better with a dog beside you.

I should know.

Keeping Mom company is one of my most important responsibilities.
